Successful Governor's Pheasant Opener
Members of Lyon County Pheasants Forever (LCPF) teamed up with area groups to help showcase the community highpoints and habitat available to visiting hunters in the Lyon County area as part of a very successful Governor's Pheasant Opener hosted in Marshall, MN on October 12 and 13.

Minnesota's pheasant index up 68 percent from 2011 - The pheasant population index increased 68 percent from 2011. Pheasant hunters are expected to harvest about 290,000 roosters this fall. That's up from last year's estimated harvest of 204,000.
