Only I have been granted an interview thus far with the angler who caught this monstrous 56×28.5 inch fish, and you’ve got the scoop as well. Marshall Hopp of Valley City, N.D. (originally, Milaca, Minn.) with the 56×28.5″ muskie he caught on Black Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, on Lake Mille Lacs trolling a 13 inch Grandma Crankbait.
Hopp works to remove the fluorescent perch patterned Grandma crankbait from the jaw of the massive muskie.
We’re going to need a bigger tape! Prior to release, Hopp’s muskie easily exceeded the 40-inch walleye tape in Johnson’s boat, and the side shot shows just how incredibly thick the fish was.
